Burgh Beautiful Linlithgow

Volunteering Opportunities

Burgh Beautiful relies on the dedication of over 100 volunteers. Without them, we simply would not exist. Our volunteering opportunities cater to various interests and schedules, ensuring everyone can find a meaningful way to contribute to our community. Most roles require little to no gardening experience, making it easy for everyone to get involved.

How Can You Help?
  • Adopt a Bed or Planter: Take responsibility for a bed or planter and nurture it on your own or with a group of other volunteers. This is a great way to contribute on an ongoing basis and enjoy watching ‘your’ plants grow.
  • Join our Committee or one of our Working Group: Take a more active role in decision-making and planning.
  • One-Off Activities: If you prefer short-term commitments, we have one-off activities, including:
    • Hanging Baskets: Help with emptying or filling hanging baskets.
    • Tree Planting: Assist in planting trees to enhance our green spaces.
    • Holly Balls: Get involved in creating festive decorations.
    • Litter Picking: Join efforts to keep our community clean and beautiful.
    • Plant Deliveries: Help to unload and sort plant deliveries.
    • Plant Sale: Donate plants and cuttings, pot up annuals or help set up and sell on the day.
    • Fundraising: Contribute to our fundraising efforts to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
    • Hit Squads: Join our hit squads to tackle larger tasks, such as maintaining the cycle ramp at the leisure centre and other significant projects.
    • Social Media: Help with photos and content for our social media.

Current Vacancies

We are always looking for volunteers to help with the roles above but sometimes we need to find people with specific skills or experience.
