Burgh Beautiful has enjoyed considerable success in the Beautiful Scotland and Britain in Bloom horticultural competitions over several years. Such involvement makes us aware of best practice elsewhere and gives an incentive for people to become involved with floral or more general enhancement of the town. Success in these national gardening competitions gains Linlithgow national publicity which can only help to increase visitor numbers and thereby enhance the local economy. As far as Linlithgow residents are concerned, such success undoubtedly boosts civic pride, furthering the sense of well-being and benefits to mental health that involvement in, or enjoyment of, our work can provide.
