Burgh Beautiful needs you …
Spring is most definitely in the air with sunshine and warmer days making the point. Once again Burgh Beautiful is turning its attention to enhancing the town with planting throughout the summer and autumn seasons. There is an additional encouragement to our activities as we are entering the "Keep Scotland Beautiful" competition after a gap of a year or two ... and this is despite the additional challenge of West Lothian Council withdrawing from all planting and reducing grass cutting to a "cut only" policy which leaves unsightly rolls of withering grass.
- The planter at the very top of Manse Road (current barrels to be replaced);
- Three planters in front of Timpson's on the High Street;
Two of the six planters in front of Taste on the High Street;
- New planters to be situated at the town entrance on Edinburgh Road.
- Alternatively you may prefer to work as part of a team. If that is the case, then more help is required at the bed on the corner of Springfield Road and Blackness Road.
Very little gardening experience is required for these locations. Lots of guidance is provided. Come and join us now!
